Session One: A Communion in Transition: Hope, Leadership, and Global Witness

At a moment of profound transition for the Anglican Communion, this timely conversation brings together Bishop Anthony Poggo, Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, and Archbishop Hosam Naoum of Jerusalem. Together, they will reflect on the Communion’s shared life amid global uncertainty, shifting leadership, and renewed hope.

Bishop Poggo will offer a wide-angle view of the Anglican Communion today, naming key forces shaping its future and reflecting on the upcoming installation of Bishop Sarah Mullally as the next Archbishop of Canterbury. Archbishop Naoum, drawing from the lived realities of ministry in Jerusalem and the Middle East, will share how the Church bears faithful witness to the Gospel amid ongoing conflict and instability.

This conversation invites participants into a deeper understanding
of how global solidarity, prayer, and shared responsibility sustain the Church across borders—and how hope takes root even in the most challenging contexts.

The Rt. Rev. Anthony Poggo, Secretary General Anglican Communion, London, England

Session Two: Faithful Preparedness: Leading Church Security with Care and Clarity

Church security is not simply about policies or protocols—it is about people, trust, and the sacred act of gathering in God’s name. Join Tim Kingsley, Vice President for Client Engagement at Kingswood Security Consulting, U.S. Navy veteran, and Provost of Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis, for a grounded and thoughtful exploration of what faithful preparedness looks like in today’s church.

This session will engage practical principles of risk awareness, emergency readiness, behavioral threat recognition, and coordinated response, all framed through a pastoral lens that prioritizes hospitality, compassion, and calm leadership. Participants will also explore how to build a culture of safety that supports staff and volunteers while remaining aligned with the Church’s mission and values.

Designed for clergy, wardens, vestry members, and lay leaders, this session offers clear guidance, real-world insight, and a steady theological foundation for congregations seeking to care well for their communities.

Speakers:
The Rev. Tim Kingsley, Director for Logistics and Risk for General Convention, The Episcopal Church, Minneapolis, MN
Simon Osamoh, Founder & President, Kingswood Security Consulting, Minneapolis, MN

Session Three: AI and the Church: Faithfully Navigating Digital Transformation

The ways people seek meaning, connection, and belonging are changing—and the Church is being invited to respond with both wisdom and courage. Join Scott Lyon, Founder and CEO of Solace, for a thoughtful and accessible conversation about how church leaders can engage artificial intelligence with theological depth and practical discernment.

Together, participants will explore theological frameworks for engaging AI, consider how emerging technologies might support—rather than replace—human relationship, and examine practical applications for congregational life. The session will also address ethical questions, governance, and the responsibility that comes with adopting new tools in ministry.

This conversation invites church leaders into informed, faithful reflection on how the Church can navigate digital transformation while remaining rooted in trust, relationship, and mission.

Moderator:
Scott Lyon, Founder & CEO, Solace, Boston, MA

Speakers:
Dr. Brian Boyd, U.S. Faith Liaison, The Future of Life Institute, New Orleans, LA
Arlie Coles, General Convention Task Force on Artificial Intelligence & Intellectual Property, Dallas, TX
The Rev. Doyt Conn, Rector, Epiphany Parish of Seattle, Seattle, WA

Session Four: People‑First Cybersecurity

Most security challenges in congregations begin not with sophisticated cyberattacks, but with everyday practices, unclear processes, and shared responsibility. This session equips non-IT leaders with a people-centered approach to cybersecurity, exploring common pitfalls, real-world church scenarios, and practical strategies for building healthy systems and habits that help safeguard your ministry and community.

Speakers:
Melody Parlett, Managing Director, Enable Ministry Partners, Brentwood, TN

Session Five: Form and Spirit in the Parish Building

“We require from buildings two kinds of goodness: First to do their practical duty well and second that they be graceful and pleasing in doing it.”
John Ruskin

Church buildings do more than shelter a congregation. They speak, telling the story of a community’s history, values, and hope for the future. At the same time, they must respond faithfully to very real pressures: aging infrastructure, shifting demographics, changing attendance patterns, and evolving ministry needs.

Join Ethan Anthony, AIA, President of Cram and Ferguson Architects and the Revs. Dixon Kinser, Jacob Pierce, and Steven Rice for a conversation exploring how congregations can steward their physical spaces through seasons of change without losing sight of their mission. Drawing on the lived experience of two parishes navigating significant transition over the past decade, the conversation will examine how churches assess needs, make decisions, and move from one chapter to the next with intention and care.

Moderator:
Ethan Anthony AIA, President, Cram and Ferguson Architects, Boston, MA

Speakers:
The Rev. Dixon Kinser, Rector, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Winston-Salem, NC
The Rev. Jacob Pierce, Rector, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Charlotte, NC
