Forming Faith, Building Community: The Enduring Impact of Episcopal Camps

As summer draws to a close, Episcopal Parish Network invites the Church to celebrate one of its most enduring and powerful ministries of formation: Episcopal camps.
For generations, camps across the Episcopal Church have created spaces where children and young people discover Christian community, deepen their faith, experience the richness of the Episcopal tradition, and begin to see themselves as leaders in the Church. The friendships, worship, formation, and sense of belonging fostered at camp can shape a life of faith for decades to come.
Prompted by the 60th anniversary celebration of St. Crispin’s Conference Center + Camp in Seminole County, Oklahoma, this EPN webinar will explore why Episcopal camps continue to matter–and the vital role they can play in forming the next generation of faithful witnesses and leaders.
Longtime camp enthusiast, Kanuga Board Chair, and former Bishop of Minnesota Brian Prior will lead an engaging conversation with experienced camp leaders from across the Episcopal Church, including Tim Baer, Alex Flannagan, Rob Watson, and Eleanor Reeves.
Join us as we celebrate the enduring importance of Episcopal camping, hear what leaders are learning today, and explore how these remarkable communities can help strengthen the Church for generations to come.

Stewardship Beyond the Season: Engaging Your Congregation in Mission and Ministry

As churches enter a busy season of ministry and look toward Advent, Christmas, and year-end, stewardship often moves to the forefront. But meaningful stewardship extends far beyond a single season, campaign, or financial ask. In this session with ACST, we’ll explore how church leaders can approach stewardship as an ongoing invitation to participate more fully in the life and mission of the church.
We’ll also discuss ways to connect people’s time, gifts, and resources to ministry impact, communicate the difference their participation makes, and use key moments in the church year to encourage deeper engagement. Attendees will leave with practical ideas they can use this fall and throughout the year, along with a Stewardship Kit featuring tools and resources to help put those ideas into action.
