Thank you Matt 00:50:29 Paige Alvarez Hanks: This parish information is super helpful as we work to be a resource for our parishioners and wider community. Thank you for your witness! 00:50:59 Barbara Limandri: Matt, you might want to update your site to include the new national Suicide and Help Crisis Line: 988. It is too difficult for someone in a MH crisis to remember and organize themselves enough to call a 10 digit number! 00:53:17 Travis Evans: Hello from Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, OR 00:54:20 Michelle Snyder: Jeri, we have done them in Illinois. I’m not sure we have any on the books right now in Illinois but we’re always willing to talk with anyone interested in bringing it through your congregation or diocese. Also, the Illinois Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is a great partner for us so they might be willing to host one if they knew there were church partners who wanted to collaborate on it. 00:57:25 Terri Roman: NAMI is amazing. I participate in one of their support groups for parents of young adults, but they also have parent education and a whole host of services. So glad you mentioned them. 00:57:35 Barbara Limandri: In Trinity Cathedral in Portland we have an Outreach Commission of parish volunteers. This might be a place to curate such a list. It would involve parishioners to help which might further reduce stigma. 01:00:03 Joe Swimmer: For those who have to leave us early, thanks for joining today. The conversation will continue with our panel for a bit longer. Thanks, again, to Soul Shop for partnering on this conversation. Tomorrow you can find the recording of this session and PowerPoint at: www.episcopalparishes.org/past-workshop-recordings/ There are additional digital workshops on Christian formation, fundraising, accounting practices, and finance best practices coming up in the next two months. We hope you join us as you are available. You can see a list here: www.episcopalparishes.org/upcoming-workshops/ More workshops are added regularly. We invite you to join our work. That is wonderful holy work. 01:06:48 Barbara Limandri: Thanks for this presentation. I’m especially interested in the resource of Soul Shop. I’ll pass this on to our vestry. We have been discussing having a Psychological First Aid training for our congregants. We serve many folks who hare homeless and in such need. 01:07:14 Michelle Snyder: There is a lot of research right now on genetic predisposition to suicidality as an independent variable, from depression. It will be interesting to see what they learn. 01:08:09 Pat Doyle / Vision for Change: What is the cost of soul shop? 01:09:08 Pat Doyle / Vision for Change: How does Soul Shop differ from ASFP training? 01:10:01 Pat Doyle / Vision for Change: Will you do be doing online training? 01:11:11 Pat Doyle / Vision for Change: Can you give us an idea of cost? 01:12:09 Joe Swimmer: Thanks, again, for joining us today.
